A Time When I had to Convince Someone of Something

A time when I had to convince someone of something was when I was trying convince my mother to let me drive her car. Trying to convince my mother to allow me drive her car was difficult because she was not aware that I have driven a car a few times when I was 12,13, and 14 with my father. So one day she took me driving. I was in awe because my mother had just told me a few days ago that she was not going to let me drive until I receive my temps. Thinking that I had no driving experience at all, my mother told me how to change the gears, which pedal was the accelerator and brake, and how much pressure I should apply to the accelerator so I would not move the car too fast. Even though I knew all of these steps, my mother was just making sure I knew how to control the vehicle to ensure my safety. After changed the gear to drive I pushed lightly on the gas and began to move the car slowly. My mother told me to make a left turn so I turned on my left turn signal and turned the steering wheel to the left.  I continued to drive around for a little more until my mother told me to put my foot on the brake to slow down the car. When I shifted the gear to park, my mother was very impressed with my driving skills and allowed me drive into our driveway.

The One OGT Test That I am Most Nervous About

The one OGT test that I am the most nervous about is the science test. There are a few reasons why I am the most nervous about the science test in particular. One reason is because science is not one of my strongest subjects. I say this because before I started high school, I used to get A's in science all the time. Now that I have advanced to high school, science has become of course more complicated but also the majority of the time I have a hard time applying what I know to one question or a series of questions on a test. The second reason is to me science alone is too complex which allows me not to understand most of the material I learn. The third reason is a lot of times I feel that I read more into test questions or even simple questions on a worksheet which tend to make the question harder for me to process in my mind than it should be. Then, there are times where reading more into the question or thinking outside of the box is really necessary and then I end up getting the question correct. To help me change my perspective on the Science OGT is before taking the test, I would first write down all of my doubts and fears of what could happen when I take the test as a source of stress release and then right down the positive and more confident possibilities that could happen when I take the test. Second, I would then pray about the test and ask God for reassurance and guidance as I read each question on the test and to help me understand each question. Thirdly, I would then imagine myself passing the test to help my mind get motivated.
