Something That I Desparately Wanted When I Was Younger
When I was younger, something that I desperately wanted was an American Girl doll. I wanted an American Girl doll because it was a very popular doll at the time. I was 7 years old when I first discovered them. I fell in love with the dolls because according to the American Girl company, they were made to look like you. One day I wanted to go to the actual store in Chicago, Illinois. So, I finally traveled to Chicago on an AmTrak train with my fourth grade class in 2008 as a part of a school trip. It was not until the last day of the trip that we actually got to go inside of the American Girl Store. Then, we had to leave because it was time to meet back with our family. I told my mother that I wanted one badly, so she was about to head inside to purchase me one when my teacher announced it was time for us to board back to Ohio. I was furious because I had waited so long to get one that day. Just when I thought the day could not get worse, I entered the train and I saw a girl with one. I started throwing a tantrum and started crying. Two years later, I finally got an American Girl doll for my 9th birthday. I felt like the luckiest girl in the World. As I opened the box, I discovered that the doll did not look anything like me nor did it have the same skin tone. I decided to keep it, even though I was not happy with the product at first. Now that I look back, I realized that if people wait patiently for something that they desperately want. They just might have it in the future.

Thanksgiving Dinner 2013
For this year's Thanksgiving I spent the evening over my cousins house. The day before Thanksgiving, me and my mother prepared our favorite foods. The foods that we prepared were cornbread dressing, sweet potato pie, greens, honeybaked ham, and potato salad. Every Thanskgiving, it is our tradition to cook those foods for our Thanksgiving meal. Before we eat our meal, my family and I have a group prayer to acknowledge our relatives that could not be here on earth with us and to remind ourselves how grateful we are to have a nice homecooked meal on our table to eat. My cousins also prepared food for our Thanksgiving dinner. The food my cousins prepared are sweet potatoes, green beans, collard greens, turkey, and ham. For desert there was fruit pizza, chocolate fudge cake, and apple pie cobbler. At the end of the evening before we say out goodbyes, we decide who will be the Thanksgiving host for next year.

If I Could Change One Thing in the World
If I could change one thing in the world it would be poverty. I would change the fact that there is poverty in the world because there are too many people who are unemployed or just became unemployed. The object of life is to live happy and be happy because life itself is too short. Everyone has one life that was given to them. If people cannot live life as an average middle class person without food, a place to practice personal hygiene or better yet a place to call home, in their hearts they would be unhappy. Today, poverty is so strong that there is even an area called Skid Row in Los Angeles, California that thousands of homeless people live on each day. Even in food kitchens, thousands of homeless people come to have a hot meal to keep moving forward and to gain energy in order to live til the next day. Hoping that tomorrow will be a better and brighter day.

If I Could Go Someplace I have Never Gone To Before
If I could go somewhere that I have never gone to before, I would go to Paris, Francd. I would travel to Paris because it is a great place to study Fashion and Interior Design. I think this because Paris is known to be the Fashion Capital for different genres of design. Paris, France also benefits Art skills such as painting, drawing, and architecture. By learning about Paris's culture and unique architecture, I can learn new types of Parisian interior design styles so I can expand my designing abilities.

Why Technology is Important
Technology is an important aspect in our lives today. Today's technology includes computers, iPods, Tv's, GPS's, and E readers. Hospitals even use technology to help patients in need. Computers help make life a little easier because it allows us to type letters without using an electric or manual typewriter to type papers. Without iPods, we couldn't listen to music digitally and connect them to radios without putting in a bulky cd in a portable CD player. GPS's allow us to navigate far distances with a touch of a button without using a map. Using a map is not only time consuming but requires the knowledge to know how to read the map. E readers allow us to read books digitally also. With computers we can buy our books online or on the e reader itself to save the trip to the library. Without technology in hospitals, we could not monitor someone's heart rate or vital signs to ensure that their well. Without technology, our world could not operate the same way and people would not be able to get treated for their illnesses because they could not be diagnosed by the correct technology needed.

If Money Were No Object
If money where no object I would be a Fashion Design teacher. I would teach others how to create their own clothes using the material from their old clothes for cloth fabric. Then, the people can either donate their creations to worthy causes or just give them to other citizens as a friendly gesture. I myself would also donate my own creations to improve the lives of citizens that do not quite have all that an average middle class citizen would have. But in order to become an design teacher, I would have to educate myself more in clothing design so I can expand my knowledge even more to teach people more things.

My Favorite Hobby
One of my favorite hobbies is making keychains. The proper name for the type of keychains I make is boondoggle. Boondoggles are make by weaving craft lace into sequences and conmbinations to form different designs. Since I started making boondoggles in 2012, my creativity has expanded and has allowed to me create my own combinations. For as I long as I can remember, I used to get so frustrated by boondoggles because I could not figure them out. But now, I can make all sorts of designs and patterns. Making keychains allows me to show my creativity and style based on the colors I choose. Hopefully in the future, I can sell my creations and teach others how to make boondoggles.

The One Thing I Would Change
If there was one thing I would change, I would change the fact that my grandparents died. Since my two grandpa's died in 2007 and 2008 and my grandpa passed away in 2011. I have not been the same person. When I was younger, when my two grandpa'a were living, I used to be a very happy child. As soon as my grandpa Keaton died in 2007, I started having extreme panic attacks. There were times when I would be extremely depressed, although my mother would tell me that I was greiving. Three months later, my grandpa James died. I was still suffering from panic attacks but, they were worse. Overtime, they started to go away. Then 3 years later, my grandma died. Out of all my grandparents, my grandma was the one I was the most closest to. All in all, it is very sad not to have any Grandparents in my life.

Who I Value The Most
Who I value the most is my mother. The reason why I value her the most is because she has always been there for me, through the good times and bad times. For instance when I was bullied in the 5th grade, she was there. When I had to present a project at school, she taught me everything she knew about presenting in front of an audience. Even though sometimes we have our disagreements, we always found a way to come to an conclusion. Whenever I have stressful days my mother would tell me to read a Bible verse, and to pray about the situation. Whenever I was sick, she always knew what to do. She would make a special tea made from peppermint, lemon juice, and honey. The remedy was passed onto my mother from my grandma and then to me. My mother is my best friend, and the best mom anyone could ever have.

The Jevon Terance Documentary
On September 14, 2013 I went to see the Jevon Terance Documentary with a close friend. I even got to meet and take a picture with Jevon Terance himself. The documentary was short and straight to the point. It was all about how Jevon designs his clothes from sketching, to sewing and picking out the fabrics for his designs. Jevon even showed off his designs at a runway at LCCC and in other Ohio cities. After the documentary,I went to his store. I really enjoyed the documentary and Jevon was an inspiration to me because I want to become a Fashion Designer in the future.

What I Did This Summer
One thing I did this summer was travel to Washington D.C. I traveled with my cousins from Lorain, and met my other cousins from Florida in D.C. I was very happy to see them. In D.C., we visited a lot of places, Those places included the Pentagon Mall, Fredrick Douglass's home, the White house, Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Memorial, Arlington Cemetery, and the Smithsonian Institution. At the MLK memorial, I saw Martin Luther King Jr's sculptor Lei-Yixin. People were taking photos of him, although I did not get to. When we went to Fredrick Douglass's home, we learned about his history as a runaway slave. Fredrick Douglass was married two times. In his first marriage he was married to a black woman and in his second marriage he was married to a white woman, which caused a lot of controversy. Douglass was a very rich man, and he often spoke to the public. Douglass also had civil rights leader Susan B. Anthony, and Harriet Tubman, who was the leader of the underground railroad, stay over at his home for important meetings. In the resource center, Douglass's face mask was on display. The face mask was made when he died in the hallway of his home. His death was caused by a heart attack.

Brieana
Two names in one, sort of like two for the price of one, what a tease.
Put them together then you have Brieana.
The name Brieana has the meaning of strength.
Mom had to take steroids to go the length.
Her doctor wanted to make sure she did not deliver early.
The result was a 5 pound 4 ounce 21 inch long girly.
Brieana is optimistic, intelligent, energetic, and inspiring.
Brie is a treat from the French region and is like a soft cow's milk cheese.
The other part rhymes with an island restaurant called Cabana.
But, it is not that exciting, just plain old Ana.

Trust and Believe in Yourself
My favorite rule is for people to trust and believe in themselves. In order for people to trust and believe in themselves I feel they must trust and believe in God. I believe that trust and believe actually go hand and hand because if people will believe in themselves they can trust themselves. Think about it this way, if people do not believe in themselves who else is going to believe in them and if they do not trust themselves who else is going to trust them. People tell others that "they can be anything they want to be in life". But what they do not tell them is that they have to first believe they can be anything they want to be in life. Just saying to themselves that they can be anything they want to be is not going to make their ambition come true. Do all people think that they can trust and believe in themselves? If not, think about this verse from Psalm 9:10, And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
